Hi-I wonder if anyone can help-Just got a pioneer 107d after having a pioneer 105 for a year-I have installed the hacked firmware(1.10) and it was successful-When I back up a dvd from my h/d I can do a disc in about 8 minutes-However,when copying "on-the-fly" it takes about 13-14 minutes at 8x using clonedvd, which is nearly as slow as my pioneer 105 at 4x-Is there any way to increase the on-the-fly speed or is that the best I am going to be able to achieve? Cheers Paul

Not really and not with any semblance of quality. You're best off writing to a temp on the HD when doing disc to disc copies. Faster isn't always better :)

what it is, is that cdrom drives are "slower" at transering files than a HD, hd's just chuck the files at it like a hurricane! its down to your 8x burner then how fast it can write those suckers!

New computer parts are going fine so far mate. Things have improved quite a bit, but i hate XP Pro, ive decided - its the cause of many of my plights. Wonder when this new system i saw about is going to become available...
