Vishal, don't think you've done anything wrong. It's just people can use your serial number to get the full version of Nero. If you don't mind I wouldn't worry about it. I'm quite certain the serial number I purchased is being used by other people.

Hi Vishal, I also have Nero 6 Ultra. I would ditch InCD4(uninstall). Also in your log you posted it showed Nero Recode 2 as being v2.0.0.18, when I open my Nero Recode it shows it as v2.0.0.17. Also instead of using Recode, use Nero StartSmart --> click DVD tab in upper right --> 5th tab, under dvd tab "copy and backup" choose Burn Image to Disc. This should open Nero Express. Try using this to burn your ISO Image.

Hi Vishal,

This is proving to be a very vexing problem! I see you have DMA enabled and the latest firmware for your burner so those are two less factors we have to worry about :)

As suggested earlier, have you removed InCD? it may help especially if you don't plan on using it.

I have also noticed from your logs that the media you've been using isn't exactly high grade. Princo has a pretty poor record of quality and that may be contributing to your problem. If you can find it, Verbatim or Ritek G04 are quality media and would be worthwhile to test. The low quality media can be hit or miss for successful burns which leads to confusion because when you get a bad burn you may think it's your settings or method when it's actually the media so then you change some things, get a good burn and again think it's the new settings making the difference when it's actually the media burning properly then when you're next burn fails with the new settings it gets very confusing! Picking up quality media will eliminate another factor from our problem.

Flip, sorry about the crying I blamed on you - I have since found out that I can?t control the weather and that ?Smack? of reality has me all in a thither. You be da Good Flipper :-)

Cheers,

Vishal,,

I too tried to burn my ISO image from the Classic mode - (I shouldn?t try to do this stuff at 3:00AM)

Use Nero Express and it burns like a champ.

I think Nephilim?s point should be your guideline -

You have all the tools, don?t confuse which order you should use when using which programs. As a matter of fact, I think you should print out a recipe for each tool you use -

For Starters - I always create a folder on my Desktop named " All DVD Work" and before ripping my DVD?s I create another sub-folder with the name of the movie I'm backing up. (i.e. ?All DVD Work\The last Samurai.?)

Example:
When using DVD Shrink & Nero - Make sure in DVD Shrink ?Edit?, ?Preferences?, ?I/O File?, tick the box which says ?Enable burning with Nero?.Also, in ?Backup?, Select Target Device?, Browse until you have your DVD burner. Nero will burn to disc ?Automatically?.

When using DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter - Make sure in DVD Shrink ?Edit?, ?Preferences?, ?I/O File?, un-tick the box which says ?Enable burning with Nero?.Also, in ?Backup?, Select Target Device? choose ISO Disc Image and remember to ?tick? the box which says, ?Launch DVD Decrypter to burn the output image?. DVD Decrypter will burn to disc ?Automatically?.

When using DVD Shrink and Nero to burn an ISO image, Make sure in DVD Shrink ?Edit?, ?Preferences?, ?I/O File?, un-tick the box which says ?Enable burning with Nero?.Also, in ?Backup?, Select Target Device? choose ISO Disc Image and in ?Select target image file? choose your pre-made file to send your ISO file too. Lastly, remember to ?Un-tick? the box which says, ?Launch DVD Decrypter to burn the output image?.
When using Nero to burn your ISO image, use Nero StartSmart - ?Click? the DVD tab in upper right - then ?click? the 5th tab, under DVD tab "Copy and backup? then choose ?Burn Image to Disc?. This should open Nero Express. Use this to burn your ISO Image to your blank DVD.

Keeping the programs separated is very important.

Hope this is of some help -

Cheers,

Pete

(Thanks Flip)

Dear Pet,Thanks a lot for all your suggestion, I am doing exactly (reading your previous exampled and guide in other forums). I had no problem earlier, having a back up of approx 30 movies but since I had upgrade all these things prob got worse. I will try exactly you advised and let you know how does it gone.
Dear Nep, Yes I have uninstall the CDIN from my computer.

So in nutshell you guys think that the error I have post, doesn't show that I have upgrade something wrong in my system.
Thanks all, I really appreciate it.

Vishal,

Pretty much Yes -

1. Get some Ritek G04 OR Verbatim DVD media to replace the stuff you were using.

2. Pick a program recipe and check each and every setting to make sure it's correct.

3. Make sure you don't have too much running in the background. Un-check unnecessary programs from "Start", "Run", (type) msconfig, "Startup". When you're finished, click apply, then, "OK", and reboot your PC.

Follow the guides you have and have a cup of coffee, you've done all you could do, it's Ms. Computer's time - (Ooohh, yea, pray) lol

Luck,

Pete

Hi Everone,
First of good news, as with all of your help, I was able to make a complete and perfect back on Fuji Media DVD-RW. I am thankful to everyone.

The second thing, which is major problem, I am umable to burn any Media which is CD-R or DVD-R. It simple rejected the media.
so basically I am use only DVD -RW not DVD-R, which is more costly.
I don't know if it is because of new Firware of new ASPI layer. Any suggestion.
Thanks

Good news for the successful burn :)

Are you still using the same DVDR media? Have you tied some of the high quality stuff like Ritek or Verbatim?

First off fuzi isn't on our approved list second, what Ritek disc did you use, they make over 1/2 of the retail media and a very wide varity of discs.

That I cannot venture a guess on, have you contacted the Mfg's support line ?

I can only say as I have been before and has said Nephilim too, After you get your proper media we'll see what happens then -

Till then, make a "Pest" of yourself until the company gives you some satisfaction -

cheers,

If the Riteks don't work either, I think the only thing that hasn't been mentioned is a possibly defective drive. Think about it.....

New firmware? Check.

ASPI good? Check.

DMA enabled? Check.

Software and methods good? Check.

A four page thread full of good advice that hasn't worked yet? Check.

As frustrating as this problem has been to me, I can't imagine what poor Vishal's been going through! First post was 4/28 and here it is 6/2. I admire your determination Vishal - I would've been on a rampage after a week :)
