What is the lowest percentage that I can set it onto before I start to sacriface the picture quality, and it gets choppy. I am doing this for the entire DVD and not re-authoring it with just the main movie. Using DVD Shrink 2.3 I notice that it gets choppy after level 7, but I don't know about Shrink 3. Any info would help.

Why not try it for yourself & judge with your own eyes?

Anything less than about 65% compression should be OK but I've actually gone above this with good results. Make sure you always use the 'analysis' option also.

i can never remember this?

is over 67% better up to 100% is best?

lower than 65% sucks pants?

also get new shrink v3.1.7.6. its in % rather than 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ,6 ,7

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Anything under 80% proof is crap - what we talking about, alcohol??

Kidding, but seriusly, over compression by 20% is very degraded on my set-up, even with Deep Anlaysis

I tried it at 61% and did not like the quality, it was ok, but there was a slight bit of choppiness. I beleive that 65% might be the limit.

I agree that it's hit and miss and depends on your system, etc etc. One example - I backed-up 'Apocolypse Now Redux' at 36% compression and it looked absolutely fine on my 32inch TV with no probs whatsoever. It's really a case of testing it for yourself I think.

Yeah, it really depends on your output (screen/computer/TV/Projector/etc) that u wish to display it on. With a 60" come 80" projection system, i really have to be picky...
