I can play the 1080p mkv file no problem on my PC but after using tsmuxer > imgburn the finished result on my bdr is pixelated when I play it on my standalone blu ray player. I can burn and play 720p .mkv files no problem. Is this an issue with the media or my cpu? or some setting on the software i'm using?

Imgburn doesn't alter the data one bit,
all it does it write it on the media in the proper format.

What did tsmuxer do to the MKV ?

tsmuxer greated the BDMV and Certificate folders which in turn converted it to a M2ts file that is recognizeable by imgburn ..why?

Are you able to playback the tsmuxer-created files directly
from the PC? Do they play properly. What about if you playback
the disk you created on the PC itself? Is it OK?

If it plays back OK on the PC, perhaps the BDR is having problems
reading the media.

This is the same problem people have with regular dvd's.
It may seem basic but you have to test the input files to Imgburn
before you can determine if it's the files or the media/player
combination that's having the problem.

DO you get the impression that the player is misreading the disk.
For example, is it stuttering or freezing as it plays?

Is the file within the proper Blue-ray specification?
Bitrates within limits, etc,etc?

If it's nothing you can see, perhaps others will chime in -
I've exhausted my suggestions at this point.

It is stuttering and freezing, I'm starting to think it might be the media I used

It's possibly the media - except you said it played back 720p
res OK. Or was that different media ?

No the same media on 720p played ok. What about write speed in imgburn?

What write speed did the media offer, and what did you choose?
Usually DL is 2.4 (but it's been a while since I used it)
