Is there a list on which dvd players will play and not play either dvd-r and dvd+r's recordables? I have a RCA dvd player and my friend has another brand and when i played a few backed up dvd'd (i have a dvd+rw/r drive) and they play fine for me, but on her dvd player, it would not play them. Thanks!

The Pioneers have worked well with multiple formats.
The 333 single disc players have been extemely reliable and read all the DVDs I have burned including several bad ones that won't play on any other players. I get them on ebay from time to time because they seem like a better quality unit than newer ones.

Most of the new players are suppose to work but sometimes they are picky.
Mintek cheapies work well. Apex has some problems. Sony dosen't work as well on some DVDs.
