No patches for that feature. Browse button only works in RF versions.

Maybe there is cause i saw in some forums that there should be some updates for it. 321 disabled that option cause it was illegal in some ways.

I'm unaware of how to make the browse funtion work in ripper versions. Unless they are swapping files.

hello, i am not quite understating whats a ripper version. you mean the compress versions?? I found dvd x copy only about a month ago and i have been using platinum version 3.2.1. the platinum version craches some times too like when finished burning, it wont play on my dvd player.and then, i remake a copy from that same platinum and the same options and it work.How weird. by the way, is there any ways to remove the warning message at the begining of the dvd?? It says: YOU ARE VIEWING A BACKUP COPY AND IT CANT BE SOLD...BLA BLA BLA. I am not trying sell them but its for my own use. Its just not cool to see that fbi 321 message the the begining. what do you personally use to burn a full dvd movie?? any 321 products?? Shrink?? or DVD Decrypter?? please try to answer all of my questions( i have been waiting since a month to ask anyone who can help me out). do you have msn messenger or aol or any other chat programs?? I will gladly add you in my list. My msn messegner ID is Ramesh382.

You need to rip(extract the data) the disc before you can compress. All version up to v4.0.3.8 has the ripper enabled.

Yea ... Get Platinum v4.0.4.15RF(ripper free) :-) ... or use another method of backing up dvd's.

right now, i am trying to first rip the files on my hd and then, i will use shrink to compress it and burn it with shrink and some Nero help. you think that would work?? and what about that legal fbi message?? I really hate those stupid warnings. we all know that. thanks anyways for all your help. Almost everything is making sense now but where can i get platinum v4.0.3.8RF if 321 does not sell anymore?? did you buy it (if yes, where??)or are you using just some downloaded dvd x copy for free. let me know. thanks again for all your help and time.

You can't!! There is no such version (v4.0.3.8RF) ... there is only ONE RF(ripper free) version(v4.0.4.15).

I bought Platinum when it was v3.1.1 and have downloaded and saved the upgrades. Also a month or so ago you were able to request a RF license.

hello, i have looked everywhere for Platinum v4.0.4.15RF but i couldnt find anything. CAN ANYONE SEND IT TO ME?? I HAVE PLATINUM 3.2.1 AND IT WORKS BUT I WANT THE BROWSE FUCTION TO WORK. ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT. I HAVE MSN MESSENGER. RAMESH382 @ HOTMAIL.COM.

Looking for Xcopy Plat info. Have 4.0.3.8. Have only recently installed. Trying to use the simple version. Window pops up stating "could not load your drive information, please run the drive selector application"
I do not see any drive selector options....?

My burner is an external drive.....i use the internal drive to load and the external to burn. Do i select and save the external burner? how will that effect the unit with the dvd to be copied in it?
2) it is my understanding from the threads that the simple version simply copies only the movie not the advertisements and extras.....correct?

secondly...I am a complete newb at this....this is day one for me...... In reading previous threads I believe others have mentioned there preference to use a DVD decryptor, in specific v3.2.3.0 (free?) then use a copy program to make the copy. As I have not used any this may be redundent. The ripper extracts the files from the DVD to the hard drive? then open the copy program, select ripped file, copy to burner.....
2) also I have purchased an external burner that is high speed 2.0. My comp is only 1.1. Will the two not work together or will it simply take longer by operating at the slower speed?

Yes highlight your burner and click save. And, huh?

No ... not true. You can select "entire movie" when using XPress.

The two free programs are DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Both are excellent programs.

You really should get a usb 2.0 card, they are around $15-20. It should work using 1.1, but will take longer.
