gidday
I was looking at updating my old 2x DVD burner for a new one and was looking at the
LITEON lwd-45IS 4x and
PIONEER 107 OEM 8x and after reading some of your threads, seems that the 107 is the way to go .I have a couple of quick questions,
does it still burn 4x media without any problems ?
Does OEM mean anything I should be worried about ?
do they burn CD-RS & is the firmware easy to update

I know some of these questions might seem dumb but you guys are the only ones that will give me a honest answer
thanks for you help clock.

PS. or do you think the LG GMA-408IB is a better option ???.
thanks again.

Hey

Go for the Pioneer 107 :D

- Yes the Pioneer 107 will burn 4x Media ok,
- OEM usually means that it doesnt come with software,
- Yes it does burn CD-Rz,
- The firmware is fairly easy to update.

Hell no.

The 107 is a quality drive with good firmware hacks available. The Lite Ons are nice too with quality firmware hacks and cool tools like K-Probe to use with it.
