Hi i live in the UK i have Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate
When i watch the movie on my computer it is fine, if i burn it to dvd and watch it on my TV then it plays fine but every 5 seconds or so you can see it kind of jump, like the playback is not completely smooth.
Burn with Imgburn at 1/2 the Rated Speed Of the Blank Media. Set Target area to 4300mbs
Use Good Quality Media (Verbatin or Tayio Yuden) Don't Multi-Task While Backing Up a DVD.
I Don't Reside In That Part of the World So I Can't Comment on Your Settings in Roxio.
You live in the UK, so PAL is a natural choice to fit the equipment, etc, etc.
However, if the source file is NTSC (you can tell from the frame rate)
the conversion has to be done somewhere, and you'll have to experiment
to see which is better.
For example, if you convert an NTSC source to NTSC DVD, your DVD player or TV
will handle the conversion. If you convert the NTSC source to PAL DVD,
you're at the mercy of the algorithm the encoder used to deal with the
framerate mismatch - which may or may not be as good as the DVD/TV doing
the conversion.
Of course , if your source is PAL, encode it as PAL.
Don't use interlace in the encoder unless the source is interlaced.
