When I buy a new DVD, I create a backup to use to watch it with - primarily because of my children (although I've been known to screw up a few myself)....LOL. I used a series of programs I got from a guide here, and they've never failed me:

1. DVDFab Decrypter - to rip the DVD
2. FixVTS - to clean up the files
3. DVDShrink - to reauthor main title only into an .iso file
4. IMGBurn to burn the .iso to a DVD

I'm moving over to Ubuntu Linux, and was hoping to get some guidance in program choices that will do what I've been doing with the above programs, but without having to use Wine or other Windows emulator.
