i use ifoedit (after using shrink) to bypass intro warning messages and/or previews. it always works perfeclty, except with the DVD Atlantis by Disney, i cannot get it to work. it's very glitchy and it seems that the menu was programmed a certain way to only work from starting at the FBI warning. if i try to start at the titleset menu or videomanager menu or PCG, or even title 1 (the movie itself), it gets caught in a loop and i have to force quit to close ifoedit.

does anyone know how to start at the menu?

if i start at the titleset menu - angle, it starts perfectly, but then when i press play it goes back to the menu and won't play the movie unless i select chap. 1 from the chapter selection page. same thing happens if i go back to the root menu. very weird.

there is no board for ifoedit (unless you pay), so i'm trying here.

thanks

I just backed up Finding Nemo, and the FBI warning was a movie instead of just a menu. I used VOBlanker to replace it with a quick blank video. It still plays that PGC, but you don't even notice it's there because it's been blanked. A good way to find out whether this is how your disc is set up is to open the files in DVD Shrink and find whatever you're trying to skip. If it's in a title instead of a menu, try VOBlanker.

yes the FBI warning is also a title in atlantis. i used VOBBlanker and blanked the titles i didn't want (there is a skip option too but i thought this would screw things up). i opened the extracted files in IFOEdit and hit 'dvdplay' to see the results, and all i got was a blank black screen and the status was 'playing' but nothing happened and if i tried to skip fwd, nothing happened either.

any ideas?

Sorry, I'm tryin to catch up with what I was typing last night. I posted this about 4 hours after my first beer and an hour before I went to bed.

That always seems to work for me. I suppose you could try running it through DVD Stripper, but if blanking an item with VOBlanker doesn't work I'm not sure that will do you any good. Plus DVD Stripper takes quite a bit of time for no more than what you want to do.
