Does anyone know if a duplicator works for burned/encoded w/ DVD shrink Movie DVDs? I want to make a couple backup DVDs of Shrek in case my original gets scratched...

Sorry, allow me to rephrase my question... What if you encode/burn a disk from the original.. with the disk that you just burned/encoded, can you put it into a 1 to 3 duplicator and get 3 copies of that same disk?

It seems, to me, a large outlay of capital (a duplicator) to simpy make a few backups of Shrek is madness. Id just buy a couple more originals. Your DVD player must have razor blades in it or summat. Either that oe you let your cat play with them.

HI I wanted to know if its possible to copy a dvd movie straight off the duplicator with maybe a dual layer disc? or do u HAVE to rip it and stuff with pc then duplicate? Got many dvd's to make backups etc and ripping them on pc will take too long was thinking the duplicator would do the trick... <<< NEWBIE HAVE MERCY!

Duplicators won't break copy protection or compress dual layer films to fit single layer blanks so the original must be decrypted and , if needed, compressed on a PC before a duplicator can do anything :)
