I'm guessing it's your own material?

If you're willing to re-author, there are some DVD authoring proggies out there that will add CSS and Macrovision to your compilation.

You cannot write any form of copy protection to a DVD-R.
You need to author the title to DLT tape, and set the flags in your authoring application so that CP can be applied at the replicators. There are several different types. Macrovision, which comes in 3 different flavours, CSS, (Both these require a fee to be paid too) and a system that will allow either unlimited copies, a single generation or none at all.

If you want to encrypt it to keep it from prying eyes and to hide it just use Kremlin Encrypt domestic version. It works really well and is very secure.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
