as you can see above i have an avi with mpeg 1 layer 1 tyred to drop it into tmpgenc and it will not recognize the audio and i have also dropped into main concept mpeg encoder and this would not recognize the video!!!! strange... could anyone please give me a clue as to a guide!!! to save this avi...

I have a video with ac3 sound and i wish to put it onto a dvd but tmpgenc does not recognise ac3 sound !! Any simple to follow ideas anyone . Yakub very crutch

I am using TMPGEnc plus and it still will not recognize the audio, the audio is mpeg 1 layer 1, i can tell this because i have inserted this file into AVI codec and it tells me so!!!! so any ideas anyone!!!!

read it... after my post there -- Minion gave you the exact solution to your problem.

TMPGEnc does not recognize Layer 1 -- you have to convert .!!
