i have a athlon xp 2000+ and was wandering if it will be worth wile to upgrade to a 3000+ while there cheap?i would overclok but i only have stock heatsink and fan and i thought there would be a bigger performance difference if i bought a 3000+ rather than overclok it?

The most significant change between the XP2000 and the XP3000 is that the 3000 uses a 400Mhz bus and the XP2000 uses a 266 bus -- to take advantage pf this you either have to oc ur mobo or geta new one (unless you have a new mobo and an old chip hehe). You are prolly better off buying the newer chip (and/or mobo) than Ocing the XP2000
