DVD-R- Ritek Ok but sound question

I back up my DVD with shrik it fine. I can watch on my RCA which should only be compatable with original DVD, but it has a pitch sound on the back. I was wondering if I by a new DVD player comp. with DVD-R, MP3, CD-R will not make the pitch sound? It doesn't make that sound when I play in my PC.

I think it just your DVD player. Your lucky my RCA will actually ruin my backups ... to the point where afterwards it turns them into coasters. I now only play backups on my Magnavox DVD/VCR combo or my XBox. If your backups are good on your PC your buring them right, your just having a compatibility issue. You could try different media, but check this site first.

I think is data? I am not sure. I was told it was the best and I haven't had problems with any games PS2 or DVD, just the sound.

I would check http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers . See what media is compatible with your player. Then getting some Verbatim, or Ritek G04 grade A disks.
