Hi,

Just wondering if i can do this, everything works fine at 4x... i have a LG4082B witch can burn at 8x speeds in - or + formats....

I use nero recode 2 with the nero 6 burn engine... with 2 dvd drives.. i do burn at once... and i can backup a dvd.. in about 15 minutes...that's burning at 4x... I know i'm crazy... but how cool would it be if i coukld do this at 7 minutes.. if i burnt at 8x...

is it possible... how can i trick nero into burning faster than 4x?

There's no "tricking" Nero into burning at 8X. The burn speed is dictated by your writer and the media you're using.

There are some burners that come with firmwares to allow 8X burning on quality 4X media, my Plextor PX-708A being one of them.

You're best bet would be to look for a hacked firmware that might allow you to do this.

You will not have a go in 7minutes, it 8x realy start's the burning @6x, so you will possible get a 10minutes -- anyone?

I average 8.5 minutes with my 708 using Ritek RiDATA 4X +R.
