DVD-R wont work on computer

I recorded some DVDs using a SONY DVD Recorder
RDR-GX7. It works fine when i play it on any DVD players. But never works on a computer DVD player. I tried five different computers and it never worked. Any suggestions on how to read this disk on a computer. I used sony dvd-r disks.

First thing I wanna say is ... Holy crap!!! You paid alot of money for that. Now, my guess is how it is encoded. You may need to get a certain codec or plug-in. I didn't see anything on the sony site, so you may wanna call them.

Quick question. What mode/format did you use to record? The DVD Video Format (Video Mode) or, DVD Video Recording Format (VR Mode).

You might try recording on a RW then use IFOEdit to reauthor.

Seems pretty cool that the discs play in all the standalones you've tried. I'm sure that was Sony's main consideration.

Ahhh, I was hoping you would say that.. Check out that review. It says with the recording format you have more editing options, but will have problems with other players. Try using The DVD Video Format (Video Mode). Good luck
