I just recently copped Goodfellas from my friend. I realized that the movie is recorded on both sides (not sure why, but i guess since it is old, not that quite old though, its on both sides. i guess there are others like that too) Any way, right off the bat i knew that it was dvd-5, single layer on both sides, double checked in dvd decrypter. now my question is how can i copy both sides into one disc? im thinking that i rip both and merge them but using what prog? i also expect that i will probably have compression issues! ironically, i would think that we are trying to work backwards in this case to get the movies on one!! ;-/

You just need a program that will let you make a compilation of both sides. I use DVD Shrink in the reauthor mode. There are lots of programs to do this with besides Shrink. DVD2One for example.

Compression should be typical. This movie will be similar in size to any other DVD-9 movie. Instead of two layers on one side, you have one layer on two sides.
