Have a look at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/83263 for some more stuff.... you should be able to hit 1800-1900 ... you wont be getting 2000 anytime soon (or not without fancy cooling at least unless its the fluke of a lifetime hehe :)
The temp isnt so bad but if you want to OC, have a look at the cooling thread :)

Praetor's talking about clock speed. 2000 is just AMD's rating for an equivalent to Intel's CPUs.

Also, a lot of the OC cap is determined by the mobo and chipset you use :)

Quote: tornato +7
Well I can officially say I have no idea what you are talking about. Sounds like you are confusing the Volcano 7+ HSF with the Tornado case fans. In either case I'd reccommend the Volcano 9+ or a more recent model since the Volcano 7+ is quite absolete and IMH, no longer an effective cooling unit (hell, I use the fan on that as a case fan)

Nobody can tell you. You have to play around with your computer.

Ya The KT400s arent the greatest for OCing and dont seen to give a lot of leeway. For OCing, the nForce2 chipset is the desired one

What do you guys consider to be the better processor Pentium or AMD? Someone told me, when you go to sale your computer it has more selling power with the Pentium chip inside over the AMD....Don't know why that would matter? Name brand? it's more popular? Price? I also heard on the other hand, AMD is better because it's perfomace is up with Pentium and the chip cost much less... Don't really know. I heard for years and years Pentium keep spanking the AMD line overall....What do you guys think about AMD's new 64 bit chip Vs Pentiums highest processor? which would be an Xeon chip right? for 2 times the $$$$$$. When is Pentium making their 64 bit processor? and if and when they do will it be better than AMD's Current 64?

Also....Is it going to end up being the old Pentium Vs AMD debate? Pentium will come out with their 64bit chip it will spank the AMD 64, then a year later AMD will come out with something to spank Pentium's 64bit and so on....Is this what's going to happen in the future?

I would choose an AMD over a Pentium anyday. P4 cost to much, they are overrated. You want a good Processer, go with an AMD 64 WOOOH

Any modern CPU can be overclocked with a supporting motherboard. Why don't you guys ever post in the official overclocking thread?

I wonder that too. As to how far you can overclock, that utterly depends on what the rest of the components are.
