I have been using a variety of programs to back up my collection of dvd's. But recently I seem to be having burn problems when programs like DVDshrink and DVD XCOPY EXPRESS,,they at times fail to read my dvds and at times fail writing them after shrinking.

I managed to get around this most of the by getting DVDshrink to rip the files to a folder and then burning the files with Intervideo DVD copy2... Can anyone help with this.. any information will be much appreciated,,,

Good one Veblin, I think you hit it "right on the money."

murad2

Take Veblins advice and set your burner to DMA mode and then try a burn.

One item at a time is the correct way to proceed, so after you get your DMA enabled:

Update your Nero to 6.3.1.15:

http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

I would skip getting the InCD and the NeroMix

Update your ahead WinASPI to Ver 2.0.1.59:

http://www.nero.com/en/631940733573829.html

I also noticed that you don't have WinASPI installed. I don't know if you need it or not. I have version 4.71 installed.

Here is a guide for ASPI:

http://aspi.radified.com/

Usually these SCSI errors are corrected by updating ASPI and making sure you do a clean install of the updated Nero program files.

Try these Nero tools to check for Registry and driver conflict problems.
