Cut 5 seconds from a VOB file

I have a dvd of a cycling holiday and want to make a copy of it but there is an error on master copy and i cannot rip it. I need to remove about 5 secs where the film freezes.
Can anybody suggest any tools to do this ???

If your computer can't read the DVD you can't copy it.

I'd try all the rippers I could (DVD Shrink, DVD Decypter, SmartRipper to name a few) after checking the disc for smudges or scratches.

In DVD Decrypter's settings (on the I/O tab I think) there's an option to ignore read errors. Check that and try ripping.
