hi

i play the dvd-r in the copmputer and it runs absolutely fine but when i play it on the stand alone player(panasonic RV41),after few minutes of smooth play it feels like dvd player encountering scratches on dvd-r every 2 minutes. now i am using nero 6 for burning dvd and using LG DVD-rw. need help big time on this.

the dvd player does not say explicitely that it supports dvd-r media. but it runs all the dvd-r that i tried to play on it and the only one that caused any hickup problem was the one burnt by me.

Hi,

A common cause for skipping and freezing is low-quality media. What have you been using? You can use this tool to get the manufacturer ID from the disc:

Some players can be quite picky when it comes to burned media. Here's a link to check on your player's compatibility:

Apart from low quality media, a further cause of playback problems can be labels on the DVD.
