Hello,

I am trying to copy a DVD-9 type into a
DVD-RW 4.7GB but no lucky so far. Besides
being DVD type 9, the movie is less than
4 GB. So after ripping the DVD and getting
the files using DVD Decrypter, i created a
UDF/ISO type Compilation in Nero 5.5.9.9
and dropped all the .VOB, .BUP, .IFO files
in there.

The burning process starts but at the end i
get the following message:

"Could not perform end of Disc-At-Once"

Does anybody know what i am doing wrong?
Does the DVD-RW media have to be initialized
somehow before i start the whole process?
I am quite new to all this stuff.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a Lot,

H3li0

Sounds like you have it half right.
Did you use Ifoedit to edit your files?
Do you know what files are a must have for DVD-R to play in stand alone?
Did you use the Wizard in Nero and select DVD video?

We need more info to help.

I use Gear DVD Pro with my Pioneer 104 with no problems. Dvd's made play on every dvd player they been played on, unlike nero.

Hi Again,

I don't know exactly all the files that i have
to rip off from the DVD. Can you give me a
detailed explanation on this?

For my current "experiment", i am trying to
rip a DVD-9 (which movie files are less than 4GB) for recording on a DVD-R media.
The media i am using at the moment for
testing is a Pioneer DVD-RW. When i succeed
them i will record on DVD-R media.

I really appreciate your help.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi H3li0,

Firstly, I'm no expert..... but it sounds to me like you're almost there.

When I copy a movie, I don't bother with the menus etc, just the film itself. So,
- use DVD decrypter to rip the VTS_**_**.VOB files that contain the movie, along with the IFO & Bup files for that VTS.
- then load the IFO file into IFOEDIT & correct the pointers by clicking on 'Get VTS sectors' (as your files are less than 4.7g, you don't need to re-encode)
- Finally, burn in NERO as UDF/ISO.

You need to make sure that there are two folders in the compilation window - AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS. Leave the audio folder blank, & put all your VOBs, IFOs, & BUPs in the VIDEO_TS folder.

Now just burn the DVD.... Job done !

Use DVD Decrypter (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdr-guides.htm)to rip all the files !
Then Use the IfoEdit (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdr-guides.htm) to complete the authoring and finaly use Nero (http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/nero.html)for burning it on DVD-RW(it won't work if it's not DVD-R)
