Alright trying to burn Spartacus
Re-authered using Shrink
Tried to burn with decrypter (using the verify function)using new ridek 4x dvd-r
got error 6% into verify phase saying unreadable Error options retry or cancle.

Never happened before so, I put in an legacy dvd-rw and tried same burn process (no problems, went all the way through) So, I figured something happened in the back round I'll retry using the ridek. Well same problem unable to read in the verify process.
The wierd thing is when playing the errored disc in the computer using windows media player the movied played fine??
2. I also did the above process and backuped Cannonball run using the ridek with no problems at all?

Any ideas?

So you can back up some movies using -R's. And you can backup Spartacus onto a RW but not -R, right?

Is the source disc(Spartacus) dirty or scratched?

The source disc most likly was messed up, I can't look at it since I returned it.
But, the wierd thing is the copy that came out in error status still worked in the computer when I tried it? does that make any sense

Are you backing up a movie you own?? i dont think so or you would have the original at hand.

Iv never used verify with dvd decrytper, if the burn fails it will tell me. Try the disc in the standalone, even though the verify didnt work it may still be a good burn. Also burn a slow speed (1x, 2x) to reduce the chance of errors

IF you are only trying to check your copy to see if it's good, restart DVD Shrink and see if it will do it's initial 'quick scan / read' or analysis of the disc. If it CRC errors out then it is likely to probable your copy is screwed. Remove it from your burner and retry the Shrink quick scan / analysis in a DVD-ROM if you have one in your computer.

You should only backup movies you own.
