Hi,
Here Is My Current PC Spec...
P4 2.8GHz 512k 800FSB (OCed 5% to 2940MHz)
ASUS P4P800S-SE
512Mb DDR400 RAM
64MB 8x AGP GF MX4000
350w PSU

Right, I Built The System Yesterday And was Running For 15hrs (Rebooting When Installs Finished) And All Of A Sudden it just shut down without any warning like we had a power cut.
Now I have tried it and it wont even turn on except for the little joult on the fans and the LED on the motherboard. I have tested everything to narrow it down and i have found that when i remove the 4 Pin Plug which comes from the PSU to the motherboard the system powers on.. but obviously dont work cos the CPU needs that.
Could This Be A Sign For A Bad PSU??? I have tried the PSU on my AMD Motherboard and it powers up fine but it doesnt use the 4 pin plug
Any Ideas Will Be Tried??

Possibly but i think its more likely that the PSU is a tad too dinky for that system ... when i fire up 6 or 7 Volcano fans, my HDDs never power up heehee

ASUS A8V Deluxe, A64-3500 @ 2.65
1GB KingMax PC3700
640GB [4x160GB, 7200, 8MB]
XFX 6800GT 256MB

Well, Actually i lied... i over clocked it to 3.3ghz .. so i suppose the VCore voltage made the PSU Blow cos when i tried the PSU in my AMD system it all powers up fine.. cos it dont use the 4 pin plug..

Lol.... yeah, OCing does produce results such as that.................

And you'll definitely want to upgrade your PSU if you're going to be OCing with that CPU.

Perception is reality.
