Low sound when watching movies

Hi guys,

i used to be able to watch movies with no probs at all, then oneday all of a sudden they all still play but the sund is very low on the movies, windows has full sound, it is only when i watch movies (xvid most of them). I re installed all codecs and did not fix the problem, If you can help that would be greatly appriciated.
