Well if its not SVCD compatible then unfortunately you cant do much but I gots an idea!!! =)

You said you used nero and TMPGEnc, thats perfect for making a vcd compilation with the VCD Header Trick,

let me explain

movies have headers that show what type of format they are (eg svcd headers, vcd headers) so with TMPGEnc, we're going to try and put VCD headers on your SVCD file so that the player might just play it back!

Do the following...

1. Open TMPGEnc, click file - mpeg tools. click the "simple multiplex" tab. On the input video source box is a browse button, click it and load up the svcd file. That should automatically load up the input audio source too.

2. Change the filename of the output file or else the program will crash. Now change "Type" to "Mpeg-1 Video CD (non-standard)". When you've all that done, click RUN. =)

3. Now after it finishs putting the headers on the svcd file, open nero and start a new VCD compilation. Click file - compilation info. Untick create standard compilant cd and click ok.

4. Drag the SVCD (from TMPGEnc) from the file browser to the compilation window and when its done analyzing, if it asks any questions just continue. Click file - write cd.

5. There is a very good chance that this will playback in your dvd player! =)
