. I have recently been having problems while trying to burn dvd's on Nero vision express wherby near to the time when the file is due to finish encoding I am getting a message that says I have run out of memory (my temp folder is 9.5 giga bytes) I have been told by someone that because I am still running Win 98 OS the problem is happening because Win 98 cannot have a temp folder that can store more than 4 giga bytes of memory and that I should look into stripping or spanning to solve this problem. I have also been told it is because Nero vision express is saving them as ISO files that the problem is occuring and that I should save them as VOB files instead.

Any ideas.

The simple answer is get XP and use a NTFS file system.

If you want to stay with 98. I'm not very familiar with NVE but if there is a choice of using ISO image or files, you want files. If there isn't that then if there is a setting for a target DVD size set it less than 4096MB.

it can have folders grater than 4gigs, but can't have FILES greater than 4gigs. So the iso file theroy is probably the problem.
