I have the dvd-105 and have been burning with it problem free for a long time. I use ritek g03 disks, and the last 50 pack I bought was just fine. I'm down to my last 10 or so and no matter what I do I get errors. Below is a screenshot of an error i get when burning anything with dvd decrypter. Also nero, alcohol, ect all error out also. I cannot seem to burn dvd-rw disks either. And the cd's I burn all wind up coasters.

There is a Search box at the top of the page and a link to Search messages. Either way.

Search: Power Calibration

I would recommend that you:

1) Install the latest firmware for your recorder, and

2) Re-install the latest version (updated) version of Nero (e.g)

If this doesnt work, why not try to uninstall your DVD-Recorder from Device Manager and restart.

Just some thoughts...

If you burn a lot it may be time for a new Burner, especially if all you are burning are coasters.(I know that sucks it's happen to all of us.)
My Pioneer 105 is starting to show the rigors of use as well and it looks like it too may not have long before it bites the big one.
Just something to consider. Sorry man.

You may want to try Newegg.com, meritline.com both have good prices and are quite reparable.
Check out:
1) NEC 8X DVD+RW/-RW Drive, Model ND-2500A, and OEM Bulk -$63.00
2) Pioneer 8X DVD+RW/-RW Drive, Model DVR-107D, OEM -$83.00
Both prices are from newegg.com and both are good burnners.
