Problems burning to a DVD +R

I am unable to burn to DVD +R I can Burn to DVD +RW but when trying to burn to a +R I keep getting a message that the disk is blank or unreconizable. Can some one suggest anything thanks

I had a similar issue. Was using stomp/recordmaxnow ver 4.0 to burn the image. You need ver 4.10 to burn +r's. Good luck.

I'm having the same problem. I using DVDDecrypter and sony Dru-120a . I used the software to rip the iso then tried to write in to RW and was succesfull . Played on computer and standalone sony player.Wrting to ISO to the DVD +R finseshed but niether the DRU unit or standalone unit will work. unreadable error from DVDdecrypter. It may be my media its Memorex dvd +r. going to try differnt media.
or may be a speed issue this drive records at 2.4x

Does anyone know how tell the record speed on this type of media?

Ok ! I am on the same boat !
When i tried that on DVD+RW, everything was nice, i used DVD decrypter to Read/Write on my DRU-120A. I just bought a bulk of DVD+R. And after burning them ... no drive can read it, even the Sony DVD recorder.
I tried at 1X speed, and the brand of the DVD+R is "PrimeDisc" (bought 1.79 each at Shop4tech.com ).

I had the same problem with an HP external DVD writer, Memorex DVD+R disk. Downloaded the latest firmware update, and reduced the speed to 1x, and it works now.
