I almost forgot the copy of Schindler's list is brand new and in perfect condition and plays fine in my player. This is the only dvd that I have problems trying to copy.
thanks

It's possible that the factory disc has corrupt data on it - it's been known to happen.

You may want to try ripping the disc with DVD Decrypter and see if that gets you anywhere. If it still gives you trouble you can try lowering the read speed in Decrypter as well as enabling the "ignore read errors" option - Settings > I/O > Ignore Read Errors.

If nothing works and the disc was recently purchased I'd suggest returning it for a new one.

(nice gif Doc!)

Nephilim makes a good point. I also use Decrypter to check problem DVD's, and sometimes it will read what Shrink won't. Also, I have found that SmartRipper will sometimes read when Decrypter won't. SmartRipper also gives a "prettier" readout when it finds a bad cell. (If you want to use the SmartRipper files, you need to manually check the IFO file when ripping in File mode.)

@neph ... thanks for gif compliment. I have a PM going to you in a bit.

I have copied Schindlers List using Shrink without any problems. In fact all 200+ DVD's copied with DVD Shrink have worked 100% for me. It's a wicked program! The only problems I've had are the Redundency Check Errors also. Everytime a coconut its either because the disc is damaged, faulty or dirty. I've proven this by getting another copy of the same movie which has ripped(encoded) and burned(copied)the new/replacement disc perfectly. So if you get a Redundency Check Error don't blame DVD Shrink instantly....try another DVD copy of the movie Disc your trying to copy. I bet it'll work. I am also a former user of DVDXCOPY Platinum 4.0.3.8 with ripper. Shrink kicks its ass! In all fairness though I did receive a refund of $150us from 321 Studios when I asked for one.
