are you using a CD-R. Most players can't play CD-RW.

Try burning the CD at a slower speed, say 4x

hi there

what software are you using to burn ?
are you using compatible cd-r's ? ie does the player you wish to play them in read cd-r's ?

when burning a cd to play on an audio cd player you burn in wav format - some burn programs will convert from mp3 to wav and burn in one step - others will require you to decode your mp3's to wav and then burn in 2 processes.

MP3s will be decompressed into low-quality WAV files that match Redbook CD Audio standard (16 bit samples @ 44.1kHz sampling rate PCM) to make compatible CDs.
That's pretty standard, so you probably aren't burning it properly.
You need to finalize the disk, burn 'disk at once' or whatever your software offers, to make compatible CDs.

Hi there

reason i was asking about what cdr's your using is that my cd player doesnt like some brands and wont play them. My car cd player doesnt like it if i burn too quickly either. so have to bun at a slower speed than 40x

also you say your burning from mp3 to cda - are you sure the conversion is happening ? have you tried buring them as .wav files ?

have you tried more than one brand of cd?
have you tried different writing speeds ?
have you tried different software ??

the more you give us to go on the better we can help

wenzell...

You're burning way too fast... try it at 16X.
