Look up at the toolbar of mIRC,you should see a rectangle flashing that says xbins.Click on this and a window will open giving you the info you need.Next,open flashfxp,click Quick Connect and enter info.You will now be connected to xbins.

I know everyone hates a newbie asking where do I get the evox file from.....but.....I have been trying to work all this stuff out for weeks and I got from xbins a zip file of evox v 1.8.281 and tryed this on my xbox. It loaded up fine and the menu was there, but I cannot make any changes to things because there is no save and exit, just exit. I have tryed to "ping" my xbox and my network is finally all ok on the pc end but the pings are not received by xbox. This must have something to do with the version of evox? ....If so please help me find the correct version because as you can see I have done alot of research to get to where I am but I am not to confident in finding a new version, especially if it is a rar file because I don't fully understand how to fix it up ( yes even after reading 101 tutorials!)
If someone can please show me the light please pm me.

get flashfxp ( i think it has its own website with a free trial version) and then go to mirc.com and download mirc (free trial version)
go on the mirc program and go to the channel #xbins
then in the server (its like a chat room but with commands).....type /msg xbins !list
then another window should pop up (the bar right about the chat window will be the word xbins blinking showing that another window is available)
in that next window it should give you some information
open flashfxp and click the lightning bolt symbol and enter in the info you just got from that mirc window into the open areas that match what you just got (you will understand what i mean, its just password info stuff)
then flashfxp will look busy like its dialing into the server because it is....then it should show some folders on the right side...one will be xbox...double click and search for what you need
when you find evox, click and drag the folder to the empty bottom box on the opposite side, then right click it once its there and hit transfer que. then the file should be where ever you transfered it to on your computer.
its a long process but there are other programs there that you can use, its sweet

alright all yall, if i did it, you can do it. use google and think of good key words. all the crap i dl'ed for my xbox came soley from google. just dont give up and try different keywords if you cant find anything. it took me a while and its going to take you a while too. i think "xbox station" is the place i got everything from

After reading another 101 tutorials I have rectified my problem. This is it everyone who wants the "easy" answers, you need to research for yourself and work it out. If everyone gives you the answers you want then next thing you will need to know is how do I use these files or what next! I have learned that no-one is going to hold your hand all the way through the process so start reading those tutorials and become well knowledged on the subject or you will not know how to do what you want anyway!
ps.newbie also that learned the hard way!

I'm another noob lookin for answers, I just got my chip and now want to get some appz on it....PM with some info on how to make this EvoX thing work, or at least how to make mIRC work cuz I can't get it to work with mIRC or Trillian Pro. thnx.

god, i know all you people are getting blasted away from
questions of where to get evox, so i figured that if one person
started to give them away, there would become many more
people that knew where to get it. and i need it... preferably
evox m8 (or 9 or something) blue. pm me, or if its possible,
you could just post it straight into the forum, thanks.
and for the record, im a mac user, so i cant use fxp.
i have aladdin advance plus supposedly preflashed with evox
m8 blue or m9 and when i start up i get the blue xbox logo,
but the led light is orange. i know this has some thing to do
with resoldering my modchip, but thats not my big problem.
the problem is that in theory when i start up, on the top left it
should say evox. it doesnt. can anyone help? btw, i also cant
connect using ftp, but my computer sees it.??????

Thank you very much EVERONE with so much patience for these newbie's. i actually wrote a long thank you note, with side comentation on how all these lazy bstrds should burn because i found all my xbox software within 15 min of finding this form. And that was within 1H of searching!! but this stupid form site asked me to log in again and i lost it. SO to sum up quick, YOU CAN FIND EVOX SEVERAL DIFFERENT WAYS WITH THE INFORMATION GIVIN IN THESE FORMS!! you dont even have to down load anything (read closely). These nice gentlemen have more patience than i can imagine!! And you should all be thanking them (like i am)and applading them there efforts in making your search SO MUCH easier than it otherwise would have been... Again, thank you so much -robertini- -bolt323- -modding- and everyone else (the list goes on and on) for all your help and support!! I couldnt have done it without you.
There Fools, all of them... Dispose of them for me.

Okay, this thread needs to die now. If you ask for evox at this point, you didn't read the entire thread. Just as a test I had my mom, (67 yrs old) do a google search for evolution x. Now she can turn the comp on and play solitare and write a letter in word. That is her knowelage of pc's. It took her 6 min to find a download!!!!! So if you looked everywhere and can't find it.....well I won't state the obvious.
Halomodr- evox is a dashboard, if your looking for a bios to flash your chip I would recommend for a version 1.5 or less the xecuter 4981. If it is a 1.6 use the M8_16 bios.
