Anyone know if those Klipsch computer speakers are any good? Was checking them out, I thought they sounded damn nice, my friend doesn't think they are loud enough, and sound that great. They could have been louder I suppose...Just wondering, thinking on picking up some nice speakers. Right now I got some Creative 2.1_ 3 piece with subwooder, paid like 20 bucks for em...LOL

For the money the most hellaciously loud and booming set of PC speakers are the Logitech Z-680 5.1's. The 680's go for $255 and the comparable Klipsch ProMedia Ultras go for $344. I sure as heck can't hear $90 worth of difference between them.

I've the Z-560 4.1's and they use the nearly same satellites and sub and they sound awesome. The sub is a gut-wrenching monster that literally shakes pictures on the wall in the other room if you want it to.

A great set of surround speakers with a killer sub will bring an entirely new dimension to gaming that's for sure.

Klipsch make awesome speakers if not expensive ones although the Logitechs are doing a good job of holding their ground :)

If your budget is not that grand you might consider the Logitech 640s which are about $70USD and offer quite the sound :)

I got some creative 303 serious (LOL) Paid around $19.99 for them, alot better than the speakers this computer came with. Checked out the Creative 5200, they sell those at Wal-Mart for around $70 I think. Look good to me they are 5.1

If your stereo is close by (within 30 feet), try Xitel Pro HiFi Link. It's a USB device which outputs standard RCA L/R outs, a coaxial digital out and an optical (toslink) digital out to your receiver. It comes with 30 feet of each of the cables and is about $100. Home hifi speakers are the way to go.

I guess you could go in that direction with the home stereo speakers. I don't really see the point in it though. My computer isn't anywhere near my Home stereo. I could have my computer 30 feet from my home speakers, but kinda silly to have my speakers so far away from my computer. I kinda like to keep my Tv, Stereo, DVD Player together seperate from my Computer.
