Try re-flashing it with an older version - from the OEM website.........if it still fails to perform I would think it could be adios amigo...............

Or maybe find someone with one that has a knackered laser assembly and do abit of DIY.....

Just a question, why did you flash your drive anyway?

I only ask because alot of people are just flashing their drives for the sake of flashing them.

A flash should only really be done if the manufacturer has highlighted a potential problem with that particular version you are using.......

Sadly, though TOO many people around are advising to flash drives to try and cure simple burning tasks/region selections/increased ripping speeds, and then using possible bad flash information and NOT the manufacturers flash upgrades.......

Reflashing your drive is ALWAYS risky, just like reflashing the BIOS on your motherboard......

At the end of the day, the risk is yours and on manufacturers sites they do normally have a disclaimer regarding potential failures and irrepairable damage...........

I am sorry to hear that you are more than likely going to purchase a new drive, but if you do just remember - Only reflash if you need to, and only use the manufacturers patch and not patches that have been created by someone on a Friday night......
