hey all,
The dvd-r I burnt plays fine on my computer but when I play on my dvd player there are problems. The dvd-r plays fine for a while then there are pauses that I have to fast forward or skip to continue playing the dvd.
I use dvd shrink 3.1 to re-author the file originally from a dvd-9. Then I create a back up copy on my hard drive and burn it with nero.
I wanna know how I can fix those glitches so there aren't any pauses when I play the dvd-r on my dvd player.
Thanks.

It could be poor media quality, what brand media are you using? and what is your hardware setup? What version of Nero have you got?

hey ispy,
I got the problem fixed. I was originally writing at 4x when I had problems. Now I'm writing at 2x and verifying the dvd when it's done. That seemed to fix my problem. I'm using Nero express by the way.

I Know you got your problem "fixed" but it would be useful to others to let us know what brand media your using.shared knowledge can be of help to others.I like Ritek brand white top DVD-R,s rip at 8x,burn at 4x in a Sony 510a.

I'm using hypermedia white top dvd-r 4x, I burn them at 2x in my LG GSA-4082B super multi dvd drive. Just got the drive last week, it works well.

i suggest changing media (verbatim or ritek) because the stuff you are using now is poor quality.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

If you can't burn at the media's rated speed, change brands. It's a bad match for your burner.

yeah guess I should get better media. But the dvd-r I got were $24 canadian for 25 dvd-r. That's the cheapest ones I could find. They work now, even though I have to burn them at half the speed. How much do your media cost? And ispy, what are "coasters"?

berserk,
Cheap media can be a false economy,I admit to doing that myself,"coasters" are discs that are crap burns only good for coasters (beer mats)under cups of coffee etc; Don,t forget to checkout Ritek DVD-R,s with G04 dye. Here in the UK I pay £8.50 sterling for tub of 25 discs.Good luck.

Hey all,
I have the same problem, but i am useing Ritek G04 4x DVD-R media. My burner is a LITEON 8x DVD+-R. Plays fine in my burner, but on my dvd player it pauses then plays then pauses again and some times pauses so long it stops by itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
