Could anybody please tell me if I can burn a DVD+R Double layer in a regular DVD writer........I've heard about DVD double layer writers..........but not sure if they can be burn in either one.

Hello Rayb1974 welcome to AD as i have not noticed this name before.Here is the answer no and yes.You can not burn double layer discs in a single layer drive unless it is a drive that can be modified through firmware like the NEC2500.Also yes a double layer writer can normally write single and double. Hope this is the answers you were looking for.I know you maybe new to the site.So can i please politely ask you to please direct all other questions of this nature to the correct forum as you will find dvd newbie section is the place to put this question.You will still get the answer where ever you go at AD but some may get a little iratated if you keep placeing them in the wrong forum.
