HI.

I'm trying to use Nero to burn a movie with the menu's stripped (Training Day R1). But I keep getting an error "DVD-Video files reallocation failed" . What does this mean and how do i correct it?

i read on the forums that using ifo/ufo mode and creating two folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS, then copying your movie files into VIDEO_TS and burning elimintes the 'reallocation' error.

its true, it eliminates the error BUT the dvd i created does not play on my PS2 or on my standalone player, every other DVD i have created using the ReMpeg-ReMux method has worked.

So i am hoping somebody can explain this or tell US how to get around these problems. By the way the DVD i have had problems with is Blackhawk Down.

I am having this problem too...but if following those steps ellinimates those errors only to make a coaster, I don't want to do it.

I'm beginning to think there is no solution..

I think there may be a soloution.
Nero for me is just generally bad at making DVD's, about 7 in 10 coasters. So I've been trying burning discs first by creating an image with imgtool.dll and then burning it with DVD Decrypter. I *think* it has solved the coaster problem but ill no after the next successful (fingers crossed) burning session. Try it!

I too had the "reallocation files" error when burning with Nero. Some will say that it is to do with not getting your VTS Sectors after splitting. But this was not the case for me as I had correctly done this. The answer lay in the version of Nero I was using. Verions prior to Nero 5.5.9.0 except 5.5.8.0 will give the error. However, if you can't find 5.5.8.0, use the latest version 5.5.9.14 which allows you to ignore the error and burn anyway (choose multisession when prompted). Hope this helps.

I'm still producing 70p coasters and my house is falling down with them now :-( - I am very frustrated with this! All my DVD's work in the PC but only 2 (!!) work in my settop. It's possible the media and the settop just arnt compatible but then why do some and not others work?? If someone can explain how to get round the 'reallocation' problem LIKE IM A CHILD i would be most grateful.

ok. I think ive FINALLY solved it ..or rather Galactus solved it ;-). If i just ignore the 'reallocation' warning in the latest nero and choose multisession then the Video plays with no problems in my settop.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me out. I finally figured everything out and have working, beautiful split dvds that run on my standalone.

*goes mad with power*

Only problem I'm having now is when I run Nero it automatically goes to Express. Even when I click on the normal Nero icon...Dunno what's up with that =(
