hi guys,

i've bought "champions of norrath" on ps2, and im wanting to back it up. I've used dvd decrypter and i've never had this problem before.. when i backup the image it says it's to big for my dvd disc.. the file size itself is over 8gb.

is there a way of shrinking the image or am i not able to back it up?

Hi,

Sounds like the game may be on a dual layer disc. I know nothing of backing up PS2 so you may try our PS2 forum :)

There is only a couple of ways of backing this up which is splitting the game on to cds which you would need the following software to do.
cddvgen 120
iso buster
Prj sort tree
Hex workshop 32v31
pssplex
smallpss
You would need to follow all the guides provided with this software.Or you could buy a duel layer dvd writer.If you are planning on backing up a few of your games that you purchase in the future.If you check the ps2 forum as Nephilim mentioned there may be new methods to do this now.Its been a while since i looked at a ps2 game to be honest.But i think i will be one of them 2 using the latest method.
