I received this question by PM and have yet to figure out an answer, but I'm still working on it. I wanted to post it publicly in case anyone else has gotten this error, or has any suggestions for resolving it.
Quote:I am using dvd-rb 0.66 and cce 2.50 sp. After the second pass during processing with cce at 98% i get the message fexp_close() failed. Unable to write file XXXXXXXXX.avs. There is not enough hard disk space.
Windows error code 0x70 112. Can you think of a solution to this problem??? Many thanx in advance
I guess my first suggestion would be to try using the CCE 2.6x trial to see if you get the same error.
Just so you know I haven't forgotten about this, but so far I can only find a couple of references to this error anywhere and no solutions. My guess at this point is that Windows is having problems accessing a DLL (or some other system file) and this is causing the problem, but I couldn't begin to tell you what file it would be or whether there's anything you can do about it without reinstalling Windows completely.
BTW, I didn't ask before, but you have made sure that there is plenty of disc space right?
I would certainly hope that's enough! As I said in my last post, it sounds like it's probably Windows problems and you may not be able to get it to work without reinstalling Windows. I found a single post on Doom9 with this specific error, and there wasn't any actual solution there either (or even suggested solutions). The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that it's a Windows error. If you have Norton Utilities you might want to try running Norton WinDoctor to see if it finds anything.
I managed to make it work with a long shot. I changed my disk's system (working directory) from FAT32 to NTFS and it worked!!! BUT now I'm facing another problem: DVD-RB is giving me runtime error "52" Bad file name or number!!! when it starts rebuilding. What is this? Can you please help me?
Are you using 1-Click mode or 3-Click? If it's 3-Click did you run Prepare again after converting to NTFS or did you use a previously completed Prepare phase?
If you're running in 1-Click mode (or if you ran Prepare again after converting) you might want to try making a new directory, moving the source files there, and then changing the project to use that directory. After that, try rebuilding again and see what happens. If you're in 1-Click mode you need to uncheck that (on the Mode menu) so you can run just the Rebuild phase.
I converted my disk and then made everything from the beginning. I am using 3-click mode now but i also got the same message with 1-click mode. I followed your advice and copied the files to another directory but the same message came again!!! Can you think of anything else? Maybe it's not meant for me to use this method!!!
