DVD X Copy will not copy to FujiFilm DVD-R

I am trying to make backups of DVDs. I am using DVD X Copy and I am able to copy to DVD+RW. I can get the DVD to copy to DVD-R, but will not let me view the DVD-R on my computer. Please help me figure how to copy to a DVD-R and review it on the computer as well.

So you can burn to a +RW and a -R, but you can only view the +RW ... right?

What burner do you have?
Which XCopy product do you have and which version?
Is your burner's firmware up to date?
Have you installed a "working" aspi layer?

In your PC, what program are you using to play the DVD ?
This you may have tried, but.
Try playing the movie in the burner using the dvd movie player.
Have you had problems with other movies playing on the pc?
