I saw someone ask this questions before but I don't know where so I just thought I would start a new thread with a quick personal experience answer.
The one answer I can truly give you is that DVD+R are better for video because on this format black ... actrually comes out black! woop what a surprise.. BUT on the other hand if you use DVD-R's And you write on those you will notice that.. BLACK comes out Dark Grey! whoooppie , these is a huge differnce if you look hard between the two pictures both give off.. well hope this helps someone = ) Talk to you all later have a good one.

It probably has more to do with the actual manufacturer of the media than the format. There's no difference in resulting picture quality when using good media in either format :)
