Which drive good at reading scratched dvd?

Can someone recommend a drive that is good at reading badly scratched/smudged DVD disks in addition to decent writing performance? I would not mind getting a DVD-ROM drive or CDRW/DVD-ROM combo drive if necessary.

you do know this is a +/- r rw fourm right....well anywho Id say it really wont make all the big a difference with the drive.. if theyre that badly scratched then no drive should be able to read them.
