Hey Gang...I haven't found this exact problem in here yet...but I have seen similar problems. I have a IBM MPRO dual 600 mhz system maxed out on memory (1 gig) running Win XP Professional with service packs installed I am using a SONY DVD DRU-510A ( Atapi/EIDE) internal drive i was using record now to burn my dvd shrink movies fine. it seems when I upgraded dvd shrink i started to get these I/0 errors. So I started to use DVD Decrypter first then use DVD shrink to shrink the files before burning. That was working fine. Now I get the same I/0 error almost everytime I try to burn a dvd... thing is...Nero burning rom will complete the dvd for me...I still get errors from decrypter though.
(below is the error)
----------------------------------------------------
I/0 error!
Device: [0:1:0]SONY DVD RW DRU-510A 1:0c (F:)

SciStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

Interpretation: Media Region Code is Mismatched to Logical Unit Region
------------------------------------------------------
Now...after DVD decrypter gives me this error...I hit retry a few times then hit Cancel...it tries to crack the files then I get a second error... the program seems to still be completing the task but gives an error first
------------------------------------------------------
Title Authentication Failed!

Device: [0:1:0] SONY DVD RW DRU-510A 1.0c (F:)

Reason: Authentication Sucess Flag = False
------------------------------------------------------I click okay and the dvd seems to keep going. I used to be able to burn without all these errors. thing is...this way takes longer to rip the dvd...they still seem to be burning okay and play back...but why am I getting these new errors all of the sudden???
