Hey i got it to WORK! thanks man, one question though, i put the movie Dumb and Dumber on my Ipod, and it doesnt have chapters so when i want to see the movie i always start from the begining. To see a special part or the end of the movie, i have to hold down the fastfoward button, is there anything that i do to get chapters, or fast forward quicker? Also if i have a disk of seinfeld, is it possible to put only 1 episode, or would i have to put all 5 on the disk. thanks for the help

Press and release the center button on the scroll wheel and you can scroll the timeline. As you move your finger around the scroll wheel the timeline will advance but the movie will stay in the same place till you stop scrolling. Don't press any buttons once you stop scrolling and it will jump to the new time. I figured this out by accident.

Thanks for giving me the chance to build some message board karma. Maybe someone will help me eventually.

Good luck.

i tried to download using DVD Decrypter and then videora yesterday and it seemed to work ok apart from a few problems mentioned before. but now when i open videora i get a box up saying 'an unhandled exception has occurred in your application. if you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue if you click quit the application will be shut down immediately.' i clicked continue but the same message came up every time i clicked on transcode new video and it will not work. any ideas anyone?

If you are getting error messages like that, I'd suggest reinstalling the application. Try it, if no luck, post back :)

ndp699, if you want chapters, assuming you are using DVD Decrypter, you can just unselect all the other chapters doing one chapter at a time. Then label each chapter as Dumb and Dumber, and tag them with a number;

Dumb and Dumber 1 then the next chapter Dumb and Dumber 2, when you get to the tenth chapter though you have to write 9 - 1 for 10 instead of 10 so the iPod will see it in the proper order. Add all these files to iTunes and create a playlist called Dumb and Dumber. And when you want to watch the movie just go to movie playlists and select 'Dumb and Dumber'. There will be a slight pause inbetween chapters but you'll get what you want :)

That's quite a brainwave Darkjello, but it is a bit annoying having 10 + pauses throughout the movie, it's very distracting..

hey lethal
sorry to be such a pain, but i reinstalled videora and i don't get that error message anymore :) which is fab thanx. but wen i used DVD Decrypter it put my movie into about 10 sections all called vts_0?_? so i used videora on one of them and got it on my ipod, but does that mean i have to do that for each section and click on the next one when the previous one finishes on the ipod. should it not just download the whole movie as 1? thanks again!

In answer to your first post - after using the decrypter, you should end up with one large VOB file. If you have more than one VOB file, you may have done something wrong. so please check through te guide again to make sure you haven't.

/off topic: In answer to your second post, that is because it is EST, or GMT-5. You are currently in GMT time zone (Greenwich mean time) So where you are, it is 18:09

Some people [myself] have had audio sync problems with the program. You could try playing around with the settings, I ended up just using DVD Decyrpter and Videora for iPod. Seems to work well for me. Hope you havn't paid for PQ DVD yet!

Album Art? Right click the song, go 'get info', then click the 'artwork' tab. Then click add & locate your artwork.

To change the artwork for a group of songs, type in what they all have in common into the search bar at the top. EG, If you want to apply the album art to Gorillaz - Demon Days, then type 'Gorillaz Demon Days' in the top. Then go 'edit' and 'select all'. Then just right click on your songs (all should be highlighted in blue) and click 'get info'. Paste your artwork in the empyt box under 'Artwork'.

Done.
