Not too bad for an nVidia based rig. I have run several test on my nVidia chipsets and come to find for my type of OC and apps used that none of my nVidia solutions can outdo any of my Intel !975 or even P965 ASUS mobos with same CPU's. The same E6300 hitting FSB 532 stable on 2 Intels could not do it same on any nVidia I run.

Now I do seam to recall of a E6x50 on an Intel hitting over 600FSB but forget what ASUS mobo and chipset, I'll look through my notes to confirm it.

So right now, is anybody here overclockinf the E6550 or 6750 to over 500 FSB on Intel based solution?

I couldn't find any reviews on those exact model # ...everyone reviewed the Balistic's with the led's...
I am assuming they are the same...if so...they should have the micron 9 chips...and perform equally...

I will say that is very good memory. I have a couple of Crucial ballistix tracers and they work very well. They are 800 mhz chips and I have them running at 1050 mhz without any problems.

Abuzar: I know you are, but who knows about any new members that come along and see it.
As for the RAM, no high grade Corsair stuff is bad, you should be ok with that stuff.

The ones with the LEDs are the ones that I have. The have an extra word in their naming(Tracer) so I don't if they are exactly the same but they should be similar. You can get about 1 GB of the ones with LEDS for 50 bucks. and they SHOULD be PC-8000(they messed up mine, gave me PC-6400 instead, still need to get that resolved.)

abuzar1,

I am really suprised that memory will OC that much especially without loosening up the timings and raising the voltage quite a bit. you must have got some good ones.

Well that depends. Did you build this computer yourself? If it is a dell or compaq or something along those lines then you can't overclock.

Basically all you have to do is enter bios setup. you should see instructions on how to do that when you start up your pc. In my case it is the del key. after you get in you have to find options tp change the fsb. you should probably post what kinda mobo you have.

Did the compaq come with the mobo? You can't overclock compaqs because Compaq blocks the options from the BIOS. They are interested in computers running stable at their stock speeds and not crashing because people messed with overclocking. If you put in a different motherboard, well than chances are that you can overclock, although I don't think you will be getting very high as AMDs don't overclock all that well.

Apparently you can overclock it with clockgen

the asus model no should be an A8AE-LE now on some sites they have flashed to the asus retail version of the bios, but if you are going to do this be sure you back up the origonal bios incase it doesnt work for you

I was hoping you all could lend me some assistance. I'm looking to overclock my E6700 but the Asus barebone mobo (V-series P5945G) won't support doing so. So, I'm looking to find a good mobo for overclocking--any sugestions?
