I don't think your motherboard has the option to overclock. I just looked throught the manual and I couldn't find anything.

Whoohoo, got my overclock up! Now I'm at 3440 Mhz, and my RAM is at 537.5 Mhz, better than PC2-8500!
I was reluctant to mess with voltage, and it seems it wasn't my ram that was holding me back it was the CPU. My voltage is now at 1.4v. Anyway here is the CPU-Z validation site.

EDIT: Before it wasn't really stable at 3.36, so I had to run it at 3.2, but now at 3.44 Ghz, with Prime 95 running for 10 hours, it has not reported any errors.

Wow, I'm supprised to see some required high volts going through these E6750s' I Set up a E6750 on the Abit IP35 Pro (the abit will be a gift to a friend while waiting for my ASUS X38 model) and was amazed to see such low vcore being used during both loaded and EIST step down and OC'd to 400x8 as well so I'm getting 22c idle (Zalman CNPS9500-LED) = v1.16 @ 6x, v1.216 @ 7x, & v1.32 @ 8x (to 25c average with medium load @ 8x) This was 2.4GHz idle to 3.2GHz load and no more then 42 at 100% load for 1hr in Everest in A/C cooled room. I will keep the CPU since I seam to like it and getting reade to test the Q6600 for renduring times, it does get a bit warmer at less OC but may prove to be a better multi task number cruncher in CAD and Xvid media transcoding.
These are just some of my personal finding so far. Will be doing more test in days to come. Although, at same DDR800 in this setting, the RAM did better in the P5WDG2-wS (Intel 975X)

OK. I got a new brand spanking computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 with VIIV technology and GeForce 7350 LE. Are these good parts for OCing?

Can you let us know how that E6550 OC's on a good mobo for either hight clock of FSB or both. I may get one for a 2nd compact build but for OC on the go in a micro atx box.

That's a nice CPU you have there. I don't know, it depends on what motherboard you have, for example Intel motherboards don't allow you to OC at all. BTW no offense but your card is pretty much, well crap. I don't think it will give you any significant performance gains even if you OC that thing.

The graphics card is indeed terrible (although you probably could overclock it), but the CPU's ok. That PC could well be powerful if it has plenty of RAM, but the graphics card will see you playing very few modern games.

Any of you have speedstep enabled? Why do we even turn it off? Doesn't the CPU speed up anyway, if the programs require it? So wouldn't this reduce heat but still give the same performance?

I know that my GPU's old. I plan to upgrade it. But for now, i'll TRY to overclock it. Will overclocking void my warrenty?
It has a RAM of 2048 MB (which i hear is good for gaming)
Also, note that i bought it.

Having 2GB is good for gaming. Unfortunately the 7350LE isn't. Cheap geforce cards (it's not really that old, just low-spec. My graphics card came out at the same time as the 7350LE!) do overclock surprisingly well. You generally won't void the warranty unless you break it! Just don't go fiddling with the voltages. Overclock as far as you can with the stock voltage and memory settings, then leave it at that.

BTW i know my graphics card isn't good, but it ran the Quake Wars demo fine. So yes, it does play modern games. XD

Well if you turn down all the settings. That card was mostly for mass produced computers that gave them basic functionality.

I just "rented" (by which I really mean rented) a 7950GT AGP and damn is it fast!! Games that were struggling with low settings now play with no effort at full settings! I can only keep it for 1 week but I'll be playing around with it quite a bit. I'm unfortunately not allowed to OC it as it isn't officially mine... yet! Though I get 85C at full use and 59C at idle. Quite a jump in my eyes.

Considering that my X1900XT PCI express got temperatures slightly above those with the standard cooler on it, those temps are nothing to worry about.

Man these cards are hot. Mine is not as powerful, so it makes less heat but I only get 60C tops.

Yeah that's about right for a 7600GT, they run much cooler than the high end cards.
