Lol. I guess I'm just retarded at jumping, because the lasers shot at me seem to home in on my arse. If i jump or try to exit the circle they still pulverize me... Again, multiple tactics for the exact same result. Use the ones that work for you and everything will be fine.
Concerning Final Mix:
First, I must admit, I haven't gotten very far... (btw, thanks again Akira ;))
Japanese subtitles and menus/English audio.
A few extra videos in the game trying to tie the storyline together more cohesively. One is of Riku falling into Rising Falls where Maleficent finds him. The other is Duel of the Fates where Cloud basically flies around and fights Sephiroth. This is right after you beat Sephiroth for the first time. I'm sure there are a few other's, but I haven't seen or heard anything of them yet...
Like you said, two new keyblades. One for beating Sephiroth (I think), and the other for beating the Ice Titan.
Some of the Heartless have been redesigned (or simply recolored).
New Heartless. Neo Heartless as they're called in FM, but they are basically the evolved Shadow Heartless you see all over the place in KHII. Then there's this ginormous mushroom character that I know shows up in at least one spot (the tree fort in Deep Jungle).
New abilities! One especially cool move I've gotten my grubby little hands on makes Sora's finishing combo have the potential to do this lightning strike sort of thing that freezes all the enemies around you; very handy. I'll be on the look out for more, but seeing as I can't read Japanese, it's really friggin hard to know what the heck I'm equipping as far as abilities are concerned.
A new boss fight at the end where you get to fight an "unknown" hooded figure, obviously from Organization XIII, but you don't know what that is yet. His weapons are uncannily similar to Xemnas' light sabers.
And so far it's freaking difficult! Way more so than the American version in my opinion. That fire/cut up post-it-note boss from Alice in Wonderland's world is kicking my butt!

Oh yea... Now I'm even more interested in FM than before. By the way. Have you got the Shiitake and Matsutake Ranks on KH1?

I hear Kingdom Hearts 2 now has a final mix version as well as Kingdom hearts I for those confused with the post Kingdom H FM it = final mix additional boses, and scenes. However like originals still once going past a certain point you either must quit or load from the save point.

Of course. The key is going to Neverland. Jumping truffles spawn on the cabin deck. First you want to be flying, but as low to the ground as possible. Lock-on to one of the truffles, wait for it to jump, then hit it into the air. Now all you have to do is time your tapping of "x" to keep it in air. Be careful, however, once you reach near the ceiling, you have to stop hitting the mushroom, and free fall for a little bit. Reason being, once you actually get to the ceiling it'll hit and bounce back down faster than you can fall which makes it impossible to get subsequent hits on the Heartless. If you need a clearer explanation, I understand. I'll try to simplify things for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip ;D But actually... I thought that if you need tips to get 'em, I've got one too. :) You might not need this. But I'll tell it anyway. A pretty easy way I think: Halloween Town - Bridge. Push a Truffle into a corner of the ditch by running. When the Truffle is between you and the corner, start casting Aeroga. You don't need to move at all. The Truffle just jumps towards the corner above you and then falls back to Aeroga-shield. Make sure your Aeroga doesn't run out. And you may need a few Ethers to recover your MP.
Your Aero needs to be Aeroga. Or else it won't work. Do you have an easy way to get Mystery Molds? I don't... Once I got three from four Black Funguses. But was it only luck or what?? I don't really know how they appear.

I believe Mystery Mold is a synth item ONLY dropped by the Black Fungus Heartless. The fact that you got three, I believe is rather lucky, but once you find a spot that they spawn, they aren't very hard to acquire. Still, by far the rarest synth item in the game is Orichalum. The second rarest would be Mythril. If you need tips for these, just ask. It isn't hard to do, but fairly time consuming. It took me a while to synthesize enough Power/Defense Up's to max Sora's stats out. This is only talking about KH1, mind you. KH2 takes even more time to max all the stats out on a single character. You can flip through the pages of this very thread to see my progress and end result. I believe with all the best stuff equipped it ended up being about 160+ for Strength, Defense, and Magic. I want to say 180'ish for AP, but I could be wrong.

The game doesn't allow you to save itself after beating Xemnas. So beating him won't hurt.

The game's over after beating Xemnas but you can defeat him and simply load from the last savepoint to go on maxing your stats/level in order to defeat Sephiroth... he really isn't that hard once your level's high enough

That's right. Just use Elixirs on Sephiroth. I recommend maxing out your Master Form in order to get the... what's it called...? Aerial Dodge. Lvl. 70 would be good if you're playing the first time. At least. Maybe some keyblade with MP Haste. Ultima Weapon perhaps. And use Reflect. You'll get him. ;)

I was reviewing 2 other action adventure/rpg type games If you like KHs you might like these : Xenosaga (any of them) and star ocean 3 So3 Is a bit more challenging requiring certain things to go onto harder levels called 'Battle trophies' to get those you have to do certain things during battles such as hit enemies an x amount of times.
Unlike KH (either of them) S03 can be continued AFTER the main story is over and actually has additional content then
S03 Is pretty much walk and click only while xenosaga you can actually do stuff on the world Both have beutiful cutscenes
I would have liked to see additional content after main story is over in either kingdom hearts, at least being able to revisit worlds. Alas 'tis not to be.
If kh3 ever comes out they should do battle trophies in very least to make game more interesting :)

I've played Xenosaga 1 through 3 (you really have to - they are actually one story, just split apart into three games) and it was one of the best RPGs I've ever played, honestly
By the way, you guys already heard? Nomura stated that there will be SEVERAL new Kingdom Hearts projects being announed in 2007 - "games and beyond", as he said... can hardly wait till they do!

I thought they wouldn't have time for any subsequent KH installments for a few years! This is a pleasant surprise, indeed!

when i do the pride rock thing, my magnet spell doesn't kill the ones that it effects. i have the highest level of magnet? whats wrong? do i need a higher magic level?
BTW, did you know that they have a Kingdom hearts game for a verizon vcast phone?

Yea I saw that vCast thing. It looked like a watered down version of CoM. I might look into if I ever get a new phone that's compatible with it just for the sake of having it. Currently I am with Verizon, but I have the Motorola E815 which can't play it I don't believe.
Concerning Pride Rock, cast magnet a lot. Cast it 'till you run out of magic and a bunch of little MP balls will shower down form the killed Heartless. This recharges your bar to max so you can cast a whole bunch of new magnet spells at them. I find it's a tad more effective if you stop casting right before you run completely out of MP, but it's up to you. Hope this helps. Let me know how it works.

No you don't need Ultima. I beat him with Gullwing. No, not to prove a point, but I thought I'd get like an uber super duper amount of xp from killing him. To my dismay, I found out you don't get any!
That said, I freaking love Google. It's my homepage for a reason. ;)

you get Fenrir by defeating Sephiroth... Ultima is Synth item but it's nonsense you can only defeat Seph with it... you can use just any keyblade...

SORA9905: You honestly don't need Ultima. Use Decisive Pumpkin. It's a really good keyblade and will deal respectable amounts of damage with that Combo Boost attribute. What level are you, just out of curiosity? Good luck.
Akira: I wish we were both moderators of JUST this thread... :p It'd be sweet to have a sort of all-encompassing first post with tons of information that answers questions asked over and over. But the ability to clean up double posts and stuff is pretty high up there as well. Maybe this informational first post could have like an "I Agree To Not Ask Questions Already Answered In This Information Post" thingy... Don't you agree?

Dang... That all sounds really really sweet. I haven't heard anything or even seen this new trailer they spoke of, so it's all brand new news to me. I love the games, but with some of my other more lucrative hobbies, it's quite difficult to keep up on it all.

Yeah...Where do I find this trailer you speak of? I already read that interview...pretty sweet. Still don't know if PS3 is worth it...if those come out on PS3, which they probably will. I don't really have 600 bucks just lying around...Willing to accept donations though ;)
