When you insert your dvd you should see a list of all of the VOB, IFO, and BUP files in the window on the right of the screen. You should not see something like this:
TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B TS11 (ATA)
Current Profile: DVD-ROM
Disc Information:
Status: Complete
Erasable: No
Sessions: 1
Sectors: 4,069,628
Size: 8,334,598,144 bytes
Time: 904:23:53 (MM:SS:FF)
Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
Book Type: DVD-ROM
Part Version: 1
Disc Size: 120mm
Maximum Read Rate: 10.08Mbps
Number of Layers: 2
Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP)
Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit
Track Density: 0.74 um/track
If you see this you have the wrong thing checked off. If you cannot figure out what the settings are you can go to the "tools" tab then "Settings" and click on the "Defaults" key. If you have a list of VOB files, etc in the window on the right then all you should need to do is hit the DVD to hard drive icon in the middle of the window. That's about all of the help I can give. If it doesn't work you may want to search or post a thread in the DVD forums. They are great at getting to questions very quickly.

Just run the whole DVD through DVD Decrypter. You will end up with a few VTS_01_X files where X is some number. Usually you will have 4-6 large files, around 1 GB. That is because decrypter separates the film into smaller chunks. Once you have them on your HD you find the largest files and check them with WMP, unless you convert them to mpeg or .AVI files to make one large file out of them, you will have to run them through videora separately then rename them in sequence, i.e. King Kong 1, King Kong 2, etc. I just tried it and it worked fine but I had the movie in 5 parts. They all converted to mp4 though. If anyone has a better way please chime in. "Ahem"...Lethal...

....Or just follow the instructions on the VERY FIRST PAGE of this guide to see DETAILED screen shots of how to use DVD Decrypter to create one large file out of the movie then videora to convert to .mp4. I knew I saw this somewhere before. DOHHH!

I suggest you open up pqdvd and read this and try and do it.
it's very simple, just click on "open..."and then click "open a DVD"if you have inserted a DVD next it will give you a list of things that are under"my computer",one of the things under"my computer"should be the DVD that you inserted in you're DVD drive so just click once on the movie and then click "OK" once.now in the llittle screen in pqdvd the movie should be starting(give it a minute)if it's starting all that's left to do is to click on the red "record" button. Now the movie will start recording.wait for the movie to finish recording and then open up itunes and slide the reformatted version of the movie into you're ipod.
"the reformatted version of the movie":
the reformatted version of the movie finds it's self in a file called "ipod video"
I tryed to make it as simple as possible if there is any part you get confused at please tell me.
Please also inform me if the operation was successful.

blackie1, have you had any luck with the DVD to iPod yet? I tried the guide on the first page of this post and it worked like a charm, full movie in one .VOB file, transferred to iPod flawlessly. If you are still unable, where are you getting hung up?

yes blackie,that's a good idea.
are you sure that you're system contains the "system requirements"?
The system requirements are:PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter software run on PC (Microsoft Windows 9 8/ME/NT/2000/XP) to convert DVD movies, videos into iPod video. (No Mac OS version has been planed yet)
Apple video iPod is required (the new iPod model released in Oct, 2005). Other iPod models (e.g. nano, shuffle, etc) does not support video playback. For these models, see the upcoming iPod Video Photo solution. (from http://rn.pqdvd.com/)
