do u turn multisession on or off
what about all other settings in Nero, just have them default?
wut i did was extract files with isobuster, used scanlite for all folders/subfolders (dvdr), burn with Nero with multisession off, dragged files by isobuster order.....what did i do wrong..

on scan lite, "dvd" is for cd > dvd
restore is when you have a "dvd rip" of a game.i.e a dvd type game that was originally on a dvd, then ripped to a cd.so the restore option is to be used, restoring it back to its original state, then once this has been scanned, you have to chose the "dvd" option, and scan them again
if you are going to scan it,you must scan everything,in case you miss something.open up all the folders
multisession must be turned off.you need to finalise the disk
try it again, but this time just extract the game with isobuster, into a new folder.but dont scan them
open up nero burning rom.(udf/iso)
add them in the same order
then burn it

OMFG, I didn't had even a clue how easily rebuilding can be done: I've checked loads of topics considering messing with CDVDGEN which seemed to be one of those programs which are just pain in the ass, but now I decided to give Vermyapre's method a try just for fun - and it worked like a charm (at least with my Infinity chip).
At first I wanted to convert 7 Sins to DVD because at least with my machine the CD versions makes horrifying noises, so I extracted ISO, patched it and burned with NERO as UDF/ISO format adding files like Isobuster showed them. Boots fine, loading times are slightly reduced and as most important thing it loads lot smoothier.
After that my curiosity grew up and I started to rebuild Bloodrayne 2, project which had been waiting for months because I wasn't very eager to do it with CDVDGEN. Almost same recipe, without patching ofcourse but replacing garbage files instead, and running perfectly otherwise like my few previous 1:1 DVD copies which skips and cannot be played through even first level.

you shouldnt need to rebuild this, you have a modchip fitted
rebuilding games this way,is generally for swapmagic users soley to reduce the TOC size.not sure what media you use,but the skipping was probably more to do with that than anything else
just remember if you wish to carry on rebuilding, you may have to use cd/dvd gen one day,as nero will not accept single files over 2 gb's
:)
btw, check this out,it may help you

I know that, but for some reason every straight backup I've made from Bloodrayne 2 (with several programs and on several medias like Ritek & Verbatim) has had same issues: Lots of skipping, long loading times and constant crashes. I don't know what's the reason for that but maybe it has something to do with garbage files, because this version I've made last night runs smoothly and without any issues - and I made it just because I didn't had any other ideas to try for fixing the problem.

The C.M.P patcher works better on patching for Cd/Dvd,might want to check this program out.I don't think there is anything wrong with DvdScanLite, but C.M.P patcher is a more updated program for patching for PS2.

I know it seems strange, but at other hand I've never needed any dummy files whem I'm burned some homebrew application CD/DVD's like Realityplayer or emulators as some people say they should help PS2 to load discs. Co-incidece, who knows, but maybe my console just reads some stuff better without them.
There are many games in my backup pile which have dummies and they work just fine, but this one didn't want to cooperate at all before latest try.

Actually I have 2 different C64 emulators for PS2 but I haven't burnt them yet, my sig refers to real thing I bought around '85-'86 which is still alive and going strong.

Could you tell a tip from where to search for?

you can get from here
http://www.backuptools.co.uk/
thought i was a member of that site....:(,i have just had to join
btw,its not always required to scan the files when converting to dvd,
you can just load them up in nero burning rom {udf/iso},i have done this on a few titles and it has worked,(to my amazement)

there are no real settings you should worry about in Nero,
try another copy, but this time scan all the folders, sub folders
and remember this method is not fool proof

when you select "restore",that is for when you intend to put a dvd rip back onto a dvd.
you need to select "dvd",then scan

Open .cue in Isobuster, extract files to somewhere and patch them with DVDscan Lite, open Nero and start ISO/UDF DVD project, draw files to content window in same order Isobuster shows them, let it burn.
I've used these options in compilation properties's UDF folder:
Type of UDF partition - Physical
Version of file system - UDF 1.02
(I have finnish version of Nero so options might not look exactly like those in english one)
By the way, I had to do same operation to MoH European Assault that I did to Bloodrayne 2 - 1:1 copy skipped with loading and especially when shifting through menus, version without dummy file works without any problems. This is really quite strange since my PS2 is hardmodded.

Hey Vermyapre,
Dont consider this as negative, just wanna clear some things up:)
Using CDVDGEN does the same thing as you are proposing with NERO.
And it CAN be installed on winXP machines as i have done with no problems (and many others too). It only seems that some people have XP installed with some corrupt files, which gives a error about 16bit software (or something like that). There is a fix for that and has nothing to do with CDVDGEN but with windows itself, [EDIT]
The alternative with NERO is also an old method, and if i werent so lazy i would have put it in the manual a year ago :)
Also, the image created with CDVDGEN will give you the 'normal' ps2 logo, that will not flash quicker than the one made with NERO. (it's just how you like it:), so there is a difference, but that wont effect the game as far as i know. (if you use cdps2gen from those spanish guys. you get the same quick flashing ps2 logo)
rafpac : as far as i know, codebreaker wont convert to DVD. It has a different protection, that dvdscanlite cannot patch

I hope you get banned for using the F-word
Why do you have your panties tied in a knot? This is a forum to help people. Why ya getting so pissed just cause somone else is helping others around a problem they where having that others might be having as well.
If you dont have anything helpful to say in a possitve way then dont hit the reply to this post button.
Is pissed considered a bad word?

I indeed had something helpful to say, since i said something about the codebreaker and the reason why cdvdgen does not work on some PCs, and the difference of using Nero and cdvdgen.
Dont worry, I'm not pissed at all :). You're getting me all wrong here :)
btw: He said to fuck the manual (or the guy who made it) in the first place in his first post, which is not really a nice thing to say, is it ?
(sorry if i said the F word also :)

yes, you're right. :)
Anyway, i've seen it happen too many times before: people having problems installing cdvdgen with winXP. It's a problem sometimes, but it's a windows problem which can be solved easily. (actually, it's window files that got corrupted)
People being unable to fix it, dont need to be namecalling the guy or the manual he made. He has nothing to do with their problem. :)
All peace now :)

either way it seems to work I had the trouble myself getting my CD backups playing on my PS2 and found this post tried what he said and it worked so at the end you get the same results. If it wasnt for your link in the first place this thread never would have started so i thank you as well.

The reason I rubbished the other guide I think was more due to the fact the programs weren't working for me and the seemingly endless steps, I'd made coasters & I really wanted to do cd to dvd conversions, after working out how to do it so simply with Nero I had a burst of arrogance and joy & this was the reason I added that silly f*** that other guide thing. I think I'll edit it out it's not necessary and I didn't mean to rubbish the actual person that took the time and effort to make the other guide either. Anyway one poster was right, this is a forum for helping people and that's why I wanted to post what I'd done here. I can't F*** myself, because I'm male and my girlfriend would find it disgusting but thanks for thinking of me :)
Now there are a few games that actually haven't worked for me so I thought I'd update a bit and see if anyone else has had either the same or a different experience with the games in question they are:
Gradius 3&4
Graduis 5
Gio Gio's Bizzare Adventure (or Jo Jo's bizzare adventure)
Tekken Tag Tournament
There's one or two more as well I'll check back here when I remember which ones.

Ok sorry for the double post but I've edited my original post to remove expletives & the provocative sentence. I'm not sure if expletives are allowed here but best to be safe then sorry. Every forum has different rules and I want to contribute positively so hopefully everyone's happy now.
